Embrace equity in honour of International Women’s Day and join in the discussion of how we can elevate women in the arts! Moderated by the Art Gallery of St. Albert’s Curator, Emily Baker, the conversation will explore celebrating the work of women, forging inclusive work cultures where women’s careers thrive and shining a spotlight on activities to uplift and inspire women to pursue goals without bias or barrier.


Panelists:

· Helen Agbonison, founder and president of the Africans and African Descendents Friendship Club of St. Albert

· Ellen Doty, jazz vocalist, songwriter and community organizer

· Nisha Patel, the City of Edmonton’s 8th Poet Laureate



Evening includes:

· Networking and a panel discussion around the themes of International Women’s Day

· Exploration of the Art Gallery of St. Albert’s current exhitbition: “Tethers” by Yvonne DuBourdieu and Margaret Witschl

· Light snacks and cash bar
