The Urban Wildlife Project is immersive, participatory theatre for children ages 1 to 5 years old. An exclusive experience for only 20 children and their adults, children are invited to explore our interactive space and play with objects, actors, and other people in the room. With a focus on urban wildlife (jackrabbits, chickadees, squirrels and magpies), local to the Alberta capital region, The Urban Wildlife Project includes object theatre, puppetry, song, movement, dance, dramatic scenes, and inspiring opportunities to play. The show is 45 minutes in length, including interactive play time. Caregivers and educators accompany children in the experience.
Elm Tree Theatre was started by theatre practitioners and professors from MacEwan University in Edmonton Alberta, to develop and present immersive and democratic theatre for children ages 1-5.
