Edmonton’s Braden Gates is a classic foot-stompin’, fiddle-playin’, guitar-pickin’ folk artist whose straightforward, uncluttered lyrics and signature quirkiness make him a wonderful storyteller full of charm. It would be easy to stereotype Gates as an old soul, but despite his love of the traditional, his sound carries a youthful feel and never feels affected or inauthentic.
